Two Reason Why Philly (the city) sucks

I got off of work on Sunday all set to go home and watch a good football game.  The Dallas Cowboys VS. The Philidelphia Eagles.  Now, being a Cowboys fan I already hate the Eagles because they are my arch enemy when it comes to football.  But last night I had a whole new reason to hate them.  While watching the game, the Eagles decide to run a Wildcat option play.  In doing so, the bring out their Wildcate quarterback who is none other than Michael Vick.

Now I already knew that he was playing for the Eagles, and it had yet to sink in of how horrible of a person this man is.  But as he started to run that play, and my pit bull Angus was laying in my lap, I all of a sudden had an uncontrollable urge to scream "DOG KILLER" at the screen.  It is just absolutely amazing to me that a man who is this evil of a man is allowed to get a second chance in football.

Football, to me, is a game of bravery and strength.  You have to posess both these skills to put your self in harms way every sunday for the entertainment of the people.  I know that Vick is not the first person in the NFL  to do some pretty unspeakable things.  But this is the first time that I have ever felt so affected by a man like Vick walking out on the field.

A man like this does not deserve a second chance to make more money than I will ever see in my lifetime, after he would do such unspeakable things to such a beautiful animal.  I can only pray that that he opts out of his contract after this season and never plays football again.

So to the main point...Here are the two reasons Philly Sucks.... 1. The Philidelphia Eagles (who lost by they way) and 2. Micael Vick (who should have never been allowed to play prefessional sports ever again.

Horrible Thoughts Today

So for those who do not know, I have a virtual zoo at my house a total of 8 animals live in our small house.  We have our two dogs Akina ( a Shiba Inu ), Angus ( A Pit Bull mix whom we rescued from Sac City Shelter after he had been there for almost 3 months), Benton and Lionel ( our two black kitty cats) and our 4 newest additions two Society Finches and two Zebra Finches.  So again, we have a small zoo.

Anyways, I did a little bit of math the other day and I realized that the year 2019 and 2020 are going to be increadably crappy.  Barring any accidents or diseases, our birds will be the first to die in 2019, followed shortly by Angus.  Next to go would be Benton, followed by Akina and last will be Lionel.  These are absolute horrible thoughts, but I guess it is the torture I put myself through for being a pet lover.  At least by then we will hopefully have kids by then and I can pour my into them.  Anyways...just wanted to share

So I am remembering being 16

So I am super stoked lately because anyone that knows me knows that I was, am, and always will be a huge fan of the band Five Iron Frenzy.

So When I found out that they were coming out with a DVD that spanned their entire career I got really excited and started to remember all the fun times that I had when I was younger and playing in a ska band (no matter how bad we were, I still loved it) Thus the reason I gave my blog the address Shoe Box Mafia.  Anyways, I was drawn to a memory I had of my friend James. 

The first show that we ever had was at a local church with whom I felt were awesome bands, and I wanted to make sure that we were the best band there.  Well, we got up on stage and played our hearts out and I am sure (very sure) that we sounded aweful.  But that is not what embarassed me.  What embarassed me was the fact that James was wearing a beanie and in my mind looked totally stupid (I still hate that beanie)  But I had let it get in the way of remembering what was really important. 

James is most definately the best friend that a person could ever have and I am blessed to call him my friend.  But for a split second I let a stupid beanie get in the way of what was really important.

I guess that is what being 16 is all about...you sweat the small stuff then, so you can realize what is really important later..

Anyways....I look forward to the new Five Iron Frenzy DVD and I look forward to heading back to Santa Rosa and seeing James and all my other friends soon

Cooking while watching TV...

So I thought I might try my hand at this whole blogging idea. "Why" you may ask. Well, I figured blogging comes down to two things. One, it consists of people making comentary on basic day to day activities, and two well..there is no two...it is mainly just that. Average day to day people that feel that they have some sort of new ideas on the world and want to make it known to the world.

Well world...I am one of those people. I live in this world, and I experience things that it has to offer so look out...here I come!!!

Basically my blog is going to consist of day to day experiences and things that I see and like and my opinion on them. It should be fun...even if no one decides to read it I will enjoy making it for myself.
